Obituary of Frank Dilks

Please share a memory of Frank to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Frank Dilks 75 of Pennsville, passed away suddenly early Monday morning, December 1st, 2014. Frank was born to David and Thelma Dilks on May 5th, 1939 in Millville, NJ. He grew up living in Bridgeton with his brother and a seemingly countless number of friends. Frank attended Glassboro State College and became the great teacher most of you will remember him for. He taught at Pennsville Middle School (Jr. High) for 36 years and avidly instructed multiple generations of Pennsville's boys and girls. His passion for shaping the youth of our town extended to the baseball field and basketball courts where he kept helping to his last days. In his retirement years, Frank could frequently be found at the river, waiting to land his next prize winning Striper. It's to a place where the fish are always biting that he now goes. Frank is survived by his children, Chris and Eric, along with his daughter-in-law Michelle, two grandsons Ethan and Caleb, and his brother David. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday Dec. 6 at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00 prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Laurel Lawn Cemetery, Bridgeton. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com.
