Karen Lee Caron, nee Cook, 70, went to be with her Lord and Savior on 28 May, 2012. A life-long New Jersey resident, she was the daughter of Orville and Eleanor (Mapps) Cook. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, David Caron, and her brother, Richard Cook. She is survived by her children: Marie Caron (Michael Clement), David Caron (Carol), Raymond Caron (Kelly), Bethann Cook (Don); grandchildren Sara Caron Yannayon (John), David Caron (Chantelle), Nicholas Caron-Clement, Emma Cook and Trevor Cook, two great grandchildren; by her sister and brother-in-law, Roberta (Cook) & Frederick Kline, brother David Cook, and sister-in-law Carol Cook, and many nieces and nephews. Karen was a dedicated member of St Ambrose Lutheran Church, serving God through serving her church. An avid gardener, she developed that love into the persona of an 18th c. apothecary based on a family ancestor. "Mistress Molly" made frequent appearances at community and living history events for many years. With her late husband, David, she volunteered at Fort Delaware, Pea Patch Island and Brandywine Battlefield, PA; she was a past member of Motts' Artillery, the 6th Maryland Regiment and the 1st NJ, Ogden's Company, organizations dedicated to reenacting the American War for Independence. There was always hand-work project on the machine or in her hand, and she enjoyed creating new or repairing old handcrafts equally. A retired school bus driver, "Mrs C's" house was open to anyone who needed a sympathetic ear or a helping hand, and there was always room for one more at her table. A memorial service will be held on Saturday June 2nd where friends may call from 1-2pm with a service starting at 2pm at St. Ambrose Lutheran Church, 443 S Broadway, Pennsville, NJ 08070-2650.
