(Bud) Harmer Brooks Cole, Jr. age 79 of Pennsville and Ocean City, NJ passed away peacefully Friday, January 7, 2022, at home with his loving family by his side. He was born in Bridgeton, and lived in Pennsville for 59 years, and Ocean City, NJ for 20 years. Bud was employed at Anchor Hocking Glass Company in Salem as a stationary Engineer where he retired in 1994 after 30 years of service. He was the president of the GBBA for many years and traveled negotiating union contracts. He worked as a realtor for the Pino Agency and River Beach Realty helping others make their homes in Pennsville. He earned a bachelor's degree from Thomas Edison State College. Bud began his second career in Ocean City, NJ working for the Board of Education in Ocean City, teaching Stationary Engineers course at Cape May County Vo-Tech. His most beloved career was spending time with his granddaughter Lily and being her "Uber" driver and partner in crime at all the local hot spots in Somers Point, and Ocean City. Bud enjoyed the Ocean City Flower show and he and Lily brought home many a first-place award. He was a published poet and enjoyed many poetry groups while living in Ocean City. He enjoyed photography, painting, bird watching, and his flowers. Most of all he enjoyed his life on the Delaware River where he lived with his family and beloved animals. Bud is survived by his wife Diane W. Cole of 56 years, his daughter Susan, and his granddaughter Lily, his sister Alma Cole Pesiri, and his brother Edward Cole. Predeceased by his parents Harmer and Edith Cole, Father and Mother-in-Law Frank and Dorothy Weigel.
