Carlton was my customer at the racetrack. He was a kind gentle soul who definitely had a system for picking the ponies. He will be missed. Rest in Peace.

Carl, to me when I first met him, was stoic, tall, and quiet.
Then again, I was a youngster at the bus stop at Dartmouth
and Riveria Drive. He was already in high school.
Later in life, we would meet again. I was working at the Library and
he, the ever curious patron. We would learn of our " bus stop" history
and how the Ecret family knew each other. Carl and my younger
brother had become friends when they crossed paths at Cowtown
where Pen would be every weekend when he drove up from VA.
Those two ornery " kids" would swap jokes and stories. Then the
following week, Carl would share with me. Always making me laugh.
I would call him *Butterfly* as he would always flitter on to the next
new experience. His humor and concern will be missed.

I worked with Carl for most of his Postal career. He was a character to say the least. My favorite memory is when we both knew the words to the old song “Honey” and went around singing it to each other. Rest In Peace Carl. I will never forget you.
