Joseph W. Nazar, Jr. age 74 of Pennsville passed away peacefully at the Christiana Hospital surrounded by his family and loved ones. Joe was born in Penns Grove and was the son of the late Joseph W. Sr. and Alma Maurer Nazar. He moved to Pennsville after marrying his wife, Janet Harris Nazar. He was employed as an assembler for Chrysler, in Newark, DE where he retired following 31 years of service. Joe loved life and was loved by so many. He will be sadly missed. He was a joker and a kidder. He could always find something to laugh about and never had a negative thing to say about anyone. In his earlier years, Joe and his wife Janet hosted many great family cookouts. Joe's passions were his family, his abundant garden, his yard and feeding the squirrels and birds. Besides his wife of 52 years Janet, he is survived by four sons, Joseph W., III and his wife Emily, Jeffrey, Jerry and his wife Michele, and Jay and his wife Carol, sisters, Shirley, Alma, Mae and Cindy, 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his infant grandson, Chad, a stillborn grandson, Aiden and a sister, Thelma. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Friday July 22 at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 9:00 to 10:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown.
