James W. Smith James W. Smith of Clearwater, FL (formerly of Pennsville, NJ) passed away, at the Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, FL, on Thursday July 16, 2020 at the age of 78. He was the son of late Wilbert A. Smith and Margaret M. McMackin Smith and was born January 30th 1942 in the old Salem Hospital. Jim was a graduate of St. James Grammar School (1957), Salesiannum High School in Delaware (1961), studied for the Catholic Priesthood for 2 years in the Salvatorion Seminary in St. Nazianz in Wisconsin and St. Pauls seminary in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He also took his work solemnly where he was employed as a supervisor at the former Anchor Hocking Glass Company in Salem, NJ and Waukegan Illinois for 25 years and then retired in 2009 as a security guard at the Artificial Island Nuclear Power Plant following 24 years service. He was a former member of the Queen of the Apostles Church in Pennsville, NJ. When he wasn't hard at work, you would usually find him outdoors. He was an avid fisherman, loved boating, camping and working with his flower garden. Predeceased by his wife of 40 years, Dorothy J. Clark Smith (December 20, 2004). Survived by his son, Patrick P. Smith and his wife Laura, of Pennsville. Grandchildren, Samantha L Buoncuore and her husband John of LAC NJ. Tyler J. Smith and his wife Stephanie, of Sewell, NJ. He was blessed with two great grandchildren, Ava & Declan. Brother, Father John 'Jack' Smith, of Clearwater, FL with whom Jim lived with for the past six years. Graveside services will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday July 25th at the St. Josephs Cemetery, Woodstown, NJ.
