Edward H. Keen, age 93 of Pennsville died Friday July 8, 2011 at the Bishop McCarthy Residence Nursing Home in Vineland. He was born in Penns Grove and was the son of the late Edward H., III and Gertrude Keen. Edward was a lifelong Salem County resident and a 1936 graduate of Salem High School. Edward was a charter member and served God through the Pennsville Nazarene Church, loved baseball and had a witty sense of humor. He was a WWII Army Air Corps veteran (1942-1946). He was employed as a mailman in Salem & Pennsville (1940's - 1960"s). Survived by his wife of 68 years, Beatrice A. Whitesell Keen, sons, David and Donald Keen and a daughter Elizabeth "Betty Lou" Turner, brother, Harry Norris Keen, 7 grandchildren, Kristen (Keen) Milne, Amy (Keen) Bomberger, Lisa (Keen) Hensel, Kevin Kenn, Michael, Timothy, & Bethany Turner, 6 great grandchildren, Tyson Bomberger, Logan & Micah Hensel, Katelynn, Alyssa and Kimberly Keen. Predeceased by a sister, Gertrude Keen Towles and a brother Arden Herbert Keen. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday July 12, at the Pennsville Nazarene Church where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery, Pilesgrove.
