Obituary of Emory G. Townsend

Emory G. Townsend, age 81 of Pennsville died Saturday July 4, 2020 at his residence. He was born July 29, 1938 in Salem, NJ to the late Emory W. Townsend and Mildred Long Townsend. He was a lifelong Salem County resident and was a 1956 graduate of Penns Grove High School. He was a truck driver and work for various trucking companies including HG Cline Trucking, Jevic Trucking and National Freight Trucking. Survived by his wife Shirley Samuels Townsend, son, Ronald E. Townsend and his wife Colleen of Pilesgrove, NJ, sister, Carolyn Wilhoit and her husband Clifford of Asheboro, NC, daughter, Pamela Townsend of Carneys Point, NJ, stepchildren, Patricia Creasy and her husband, Ernest of Bloomsburg, PA, Sharon Fisher of Pennsville, Ralph Fisher, of DE, Beverly Plazio and her husband Mark of Carneys Point, Bridget Williams and her husband Wayne of River Bend, NC, Wade Fisher and his wife Donna of Berwick, PA, 22 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
