Obituary of Catherine H. Federanko

Catherine Federanko (nee Maurer), age 73, of Pennsville, passed away on April 12, 2020. She was born December 2, 1947 and was the daughter of the late Edna (nee Ottinger) and Oscar Maurer. Cathy was well known for not holding back her opinion and had a knack for telling it like it is. She always told you the truth even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear (many of her family and kids have that skill as well). She was very outgoing and would talk to anyone. She was extremely hardworking and worked many places (too many to mention) throughout her life whether it be through Real Estate or the restaurants/diners where she waitressed and was well known and loved. She attended church regularly and had many friends throughout the different congregations she has attended past and present. She loved to travel and was always hoping to win the lottery so that she could take more trips with her family and friends. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, whom she loved fiercely (no one better say anything bad about them within her hearing range), and cheering them on at all their different sporting/school events and even though she was a Pennsville girl she proudly wore her Mannington/Salem gear to support their teams, she will be greatly missed not only by them but their friends who she considered her family as well. She spent lots of time shopping, eating and working out with her sisters and many friends who will dearly miss having her around. Cathy was preceded in death by her parents and sister Wendy Maurer. She is survived by her sons Don(Amy) Federanko of Mannington NJ, John Luthy of Pennsville NJ, David(Samantha) Federanko of Carneys Point NJ, sisters Sandy Wanamaker, Edna Venuto, Sarah(David) Capps, Shelley(Ralph) Parks, brothers Oscar(Sally) Maurer and Charles Maurer, grandsons Donovan Federanko and Dane Federanko, granddaughters Francesca Federanko and Josephine Federanko and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
