Obituary of Frank G. Watson

Frank George Watson Frank G. Watson, age 82 of Pennsville, passed away peacefully in the company of his family, at the residence of his daughter, on Wednesday , March 25, 2020. He was born in Swedesboro, son of William and Bernice Watson. He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years, Virginia Watson. He is survived by his daughter Veronica Watson, son Wade Watson, grandsons Cole Watson and Gavin Watson, Sisters Dottie Fairley (Kirk) and Catherine Mullins, sister-in-law Joanne Watson, and many family and friends who loved him. He was also predeceased by his sister, Eleanor Zane, brother, Robert Watson, and beloved cousin, Joan Buccella. Frank worked at the DuPont Chambers Works in Deepwater for over 30 years as an instrument mechanic before retiring. He also proudly served his country in the Army and the Army reserves for 26 years. Frank was a sports phanatic and enjoyed sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with both children and adults. For as long as he was able, you would find him at the Pennsville Little League and Midget Football fields, as well as every Pennsville High School wrestling match, football and baseball game. He participated in the Little League program for many years; but nothing made his team spirit come alive as when he watched his grandsons, beside his son, participate in the sports he so loved. He was beside his son Wade for many sporting events, providing each with cherished Father/Son memories. When Frank could no longer offer his services to these programs, he became an avid spectator at these games a well. Frank also enjoyed to hear his daughter Veronica perform an was very proud of her vocal talent, and he let everyone know it.
