Peggy Ann Harris Johnson Baer passed on Friday November 8th, peacefully in her home after a valiant battle with breast cancer and pancreatic cancer. She had been surrounded by love as she fought to be with her family and her dear friends who she loved as family. Peggy was born in Millville Hospital on November 26, 1936. She attended Salem High School. Married Harvey Lee Johnson in 1952 until his passing in 1979. She worked at Sears Roebuck in Salem, owned and operated Churchtown Market. Later going to work in Pennsville School District in their cafeterias and then onto working at Salem Hospital in dietary where she retired after 18 years of service. She married Joseph John Baer in August 1989. She is survived by her husband Joseph John Baer, her three children, Robbin Johnson Thomas and her husband Robert, Scott Douglas Johnson and his wife Cynthia Ann Klein, and Jeffery Lee Johnson. She has six grandchildren James Douglas Johnson, Robert Casey Thomas, Dane Lee Thomas and his wife Danielle Lynn Ayares, Joshua Scott Johnson and his partner Katie Marie Kuhns, Paige Marie Johnson Munoz and her husband Alex Martin Munoz and Robin Lee Devon Johnson. Along with seven great grandchildren Warren Harvey Johnson, Michael Girard Thomas, Dane Logan Thomas, Caden Landon Thomas, Harley Ann Johnson, Veronica Leigh Thomas and Augusto Martin Munoz. She is the glue that held us all together and the glue that will continue to do so. Her memorial services will be announced at a later date. Thank you for all of the love that has surrounded her during this difficult time. She was truly grateful.
