Helen L. Zimmerman (Press), age 77, of Pennsville, passed away on Monday, September 30th, 2019, surrounded by loved ones. Born in Pennsville in 1941, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Hannah Press. Helen was a lifelong resident of Pennsville and was married to her husband, Lew, for 59 years. Helen was a strong and beautiful woman. She loved her family fiercely and never let them want for anything. She always made sure everyone was taken care of before herself. She fought hard and true for those she loved. She adored her Longaberger baskets and antiques as well. Her quick wit and one-liners would have you in tears and will be remembered for the rest of our years. Survived by two children: Lewis B. Zimmerman III, of Pennsville; and Sherri Lynn Zimmerman, of Pennsville; along with two grandchildren; Travis Rapp and wife Julia of Pennsville; and Lacy McCaffery and husband Patrick of Pennsville; and 5 great-grandchildren: Joseph, Abigail, and Gwendolyn Rapp; and Patrick and Quinn McCaffery. She is also survived by sisters Betty Jane (John) Jaeger, and Connie (Bud) Boehner.She was predeceased by brothers; Edward and Bill Press, and predeceased by sisters, MaryAnn (Bud) Hitchner and Doris (Joseph) Fahrner. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial luncheon for Helen and Lew on Saturday, October 19th at 4:00pm at the Pennsville VFW. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
