Obituary of Charles F Davey

Charles (Fred) F. Davey Jr., 48, of Pennsville New Jersey died on Tuesday March 19th, 2019 abruptly while driving in Clearfield, PA. He was born in Phoenixville, PA. Fred was the eldest son of Phyllis E. Castro and Charles F. Davey Sr. He also had two children with Kimberly A. Davey, Kristen Davey, 20, and Samantha Davey, 17. Fred also has three elder sisters: Ginny, Trisha, and Carolyn, and one younger brother, Joseph. He predeceased his mother, siblings, and daughters. Fred worked as a truck driver for the majority of his life with different companies, but the one that he worked at that was the most current was Andrew's Logistics. He was a man of many trades, but what he devoted his life to was his career as a truck driver and he had a pure love of driving in itself. He enjoyed being with his family, particularly his two daughters, Kristen and Samantha, and these girls were the two people he cherished most in life. Fred was a die-hard Eagles fan, and would never jump on the "bandwagon." He enjoyed spending his time with his family, listening to his favorite types of rock music, or tuning into the Howard Stern Show for a good laugh. Fred loved many and was loved by many. Any person he may have touched in his life was genuine and whole, and he himself was authentic in every way possible. He had an enormous heart, and was so selfless he would help anyone that may have needed it, either if it meant taking off the clothes on his back. May God rest his soul. A memorial service will be held at 11:00am Thursday May 30, at the Laughrey funeral home, Pennsville where friends may call from 10-11:00am prior to the service.
