Clinton E. Crush, Sr. Obituary

Clinton E. Crush, Sr. passed away on May 21, 2011. Clinton was born in Salem, NJ on May 11, 1922 son of Clinton Crush and Sylvania (Crush) Conley where he was a graduate of Salem High School. He was predeceased by his loving wife "Sis" and great grandson Daulton Dilks. Clinton was a WWII Veteran serving in the Army Air Force in Photo Recon and retired from DuPont Chambers Works with 37 years of service. Clinton was Owner/Operator for many years with C & C Marine Sales in Penns Grove, NJ. Anyone who hunted or fished had the pleasure of meeting and talking with him at Tri-State Hunting. His passions were flying and radio controlled airplanes, spending many years with the Salem County RC Club. Living on the river, boating was also a big portion of his life. He loved his family and his grandchildren were the light of his life. He will always be lovingly remembered by his daughter Donna Davenport, sons Gary Crush and Clinton Crush. Also his grandchildren Bryan Dilks (Sandra), Brandon Dilks (Jenn), Dustin Crush. Great grandchildren Amanda Dilks, Dallas Dilks, Carrie and Melissa Stanton. Great great grandchildren Mackenzie and Cameron. Brothers Harvey Crush, Maryland and Dennis (Butch) Conley, Swedesboro NJ. Our heartfelt thanks go to his nurses BJ and Judy and also Connie and Barbara for their tender loving care. A special thanks to his son, Gary, who took wonderful care of him 24/7. A private memorial will be held in East View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to SJ Healthcare Community Services at Broadway & Walnut Street, Salem, NJ 08079.
