Obituary of Jeanette M. Hartog

Please share a memory of Jeanette to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jeanette Marie Den Hollander Hartog died on January 11, 2019, of complications of metastatic breast cancer. She died as she lived, bravely and without complaint, surrounded by her family as she passed into the loving arms of her savior and Lord Jesus Christ. She leaves to celebrate her life and legacy her daughter Lori and husband Don; son Kevin and wife Beth; grandchildren Caitlin and husband Eric, Rachel, Abby, Natalie, and Toby; and one great-grandson, Felix; her brother Peter and wife Kitti, and many beloved nieces, nephews, and great -nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her many friends and neighbors. She was predeceased by her husband Peter C. Hartog in 2004. At that time she moved to Pennsville NJ and loved the open fields and farms here as well as the warm and friendly people. She attended Trinity United Methodist Church, swam at the Penns Grove YMCA, and volunteered at the Ranch Hope Thrift Shop. Our family thanks her friends and neighbors who cared for her and her family during this time. We are very blessed that she had you in her life. We thank the providers at Helen F. Graham Cancer Center and Holy Redeemer Hospice, particularly her caregiver, Kerri and hospice nurse Leah who were with her during these last weeks of her life. According to Jeanette's wishes, there are no funeral services. Burial of her ashes will be on Cape Cod, Massachusetts, at Great Neck Cemetery in Mashpee where her husband rests. American Veterans causes were dear to her heart and we ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to one of the organizations that support our veterans. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
