Obituary of Jamie S. Gilbert

Jamie Ellen Shuler Gilbert of Pennsville, NJ passed away on November 7th at the age of 49. Jamie was born on January 14th, 1969 and is survived by her children Zachary Inman, 27, Bailee Gilbert, 23, and Brooke Gilbert, 21, all of New Jersey, and a granddaughter, Sawyer Inman. She is also survived by her ex-husband Gene Gilbert and current partner Lisa Bullock-DeLorenzo, both of Pennsville. She is also survived by her mother and step-father, Bonnie and Marvin Powers, her two sisters, Michelle Hicks and Candy Renner, step sister, Suzan Ventra and her nieces and nephews, Richard Fithian, Kaylin Nixon, and Amanda Fithian. She was predeceased in death by her biological father, Jim Shuler and her niece Lindsey Nixon. She was a passionate pastry chef and dedicated her life to making sure residents of Salem County and beyond had the most delicious cakes, pies, and other amazing desserts. She was also heavily involved in Pennsville sports from her time in high school up until her children graduated. She was the most proud of her children and getting to see them pursue their dreams and goals. She is remembered for her sense of humor, the way she could light up a room, and her passion for helping everyone, even giving them the shirt off her back. Services will be held Monday November 12th at Sharptown United Methodist Church.
