Jenny Burns, 82, of Pennsville, NJ, formerly of Palmerton, PA, passed away at home surrounded by family on April 22, 2011 after a brief illness. Jenny was born in Ans (Liege) Belgium on November 6, 1928. She was attending The College of Waha in Liege Belgium when she met Ellsworth Eugene "Gene"Burns who was stationed in Belgium with the United States Army. They married on January 20, 1949. As an Army wife, Jenny lived with Gene in England, France, Germany, California and Texas. She enjoyed living in different places and making new friends. Over the years, Jenny traveled to Belgium to visit her family there and also welcomed family members from Belgium and Canada to her home in the United States. Jenny is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ellsworth Eugene "Gene" Burns. She is also survived by her son Robert and his wife Donna of Palm Bay, FL, her son Blaine and his wife Cheryl of Pennsville, NJ and her granddaughter, Jill and her husband Joe Dougherty of Allentown, PA. She also leaves to cherish her memory, family members in PA, Canada and Belgium, as well as many friends in Belgium, France and throughout the United States. Services will be private.
