Frederick H. Haupt Obituary

Frederick H. "Fritz" Haupt, age 79 of Pennsville went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday April 6, 2011 at the Christiana Care Hospital, Newark, DE. He was born in Shamokin, PA and was the son of the late Fred Aren Haupt and Kathryn Amelia Neyhart Haupt. Fritz was a longtime Pennsville resident.



He was employed as a production Clerk at the DuPont Chambers Works where he retired in 1990 following 40 years service. He was an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and a charter member of the St. Ambrose Lutheran Church of Pennsville. Survived by his wife Betty J. Crothers Crist Haupt, sister, Kitty Lou Potts of Spring, TX and a son Theodore Jay Haupt, of Washington, DC, Stepchildren, Suzanne Smith of Wilmington, DE, Brian Crist of Pennsville, and Benjamin Crist of Newark, DE, a, grandchildren, Jonathan Crist, Bradley Smith, Patrick Smith, Tabitha Geary-Jones and Ashley Jones, great grandson, Harris Dehron and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife Betty Ann Haupt (1992) Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday April 14th at the St. Ambrose Lutheran Church, Pennsville where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.
