John E. Olcott, age 92 of Pennsville went home to be with the Lord on Friday July 14, 2017 at the Lindsay Place in Pennsville. He was born in Richmond, Indiana and was the son of the late Ellsworth and Lucile Nusbaum Olcott. His family moved to Pennsville in 1963. He was employed as a safety engineer for the DuPont Chambers Works, Deepwater where he retired in 1986 following 30 years service. John was a Graduate of DePauw, University. He was an active member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Pennsville for over 50 years where he taught Sunday School for 47 years and sang in the choir. He also volunteered for the Pennsville Midget Football League, Meals on Wheels, Pennsville Little League and Ranch Hope. He loved cruises, visiting family and was always telling jokes. Survived by his children, Randi Paul and her husband Albert of Moneta, VA, Kimbra Myers and her husband James of Ocean Side, CA and Bradley Olcott and his wife Rachael of Pennsville, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, and brother, Tom Olcott of Fayetteville, NC. Predeceased by his wife Lucille Olcott (2015), brother, Richard Olcott. A memorial services will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday August 22nd at the Trinity United Methodist Church, S. Broadway & Church St., Pennsville, NJ 08070 where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro.
