Viola, Doris, and Heather and family -
I was so sorry to hear about Richie. He was truly one of a kind. Whether cooking at Travalini's, working in your lovely home and yard, or chasing my little Heather and Dawn around your beautiful pool on Tufts Road, he didn't sit still for too long. He will truly be missed by everyone who knew him. Cherish the great memories you have and I am sure there are many. Thought and prayers are with you all.
With great sympathy,
Trudie

A good Man! I have known Richie since I was a kid - watching that great football team! Later being a friend we had a great time out with the crowd many a night. I was always amazed at his work ethic, sometimes working three jobs a day with Bridge, Trav's, and the Auction! We worked together two Summers on bridge and even played FB against each other in the touch league! I always enjoyed our conversations especially about sports, he was a real expert. His knowledge of Antiques, and especially sports collectibles was amazing! Though I haven't seen him for awhile, we ran into each other while he was painting at a friends, and it was like old times? He will be missed. He was really, truely 'A Good Man.' Condolences to Vi and family. Barry.

My heart is completely saddened ! Richie was the best husband ever and he was my rock. I cannot imagine not being with him for the rest of my life and not be able to have conversations withi him. He was the best father to Doris and Heather and worshipped his grandchildren. His kind and special heart left a mark on all he met! My memories over the past 55 years will live in my heart forever and I will miss him everyday for the rest of my life!

I would like to extend my condolences to Richie’s family. I would like to talk about the early years of Richie’s life. I was privileged to be a close friend of Richie and will miss him. We both grew up in a small adjacent town to Pennsville called Deepwater. Through those early years and to this day we both respected each other as close friends. I was witness to Richie developing into one of the most outstanding athletes of our time. Richie was a pure athlete that could excel in any sport that he pursued. Richie happened to focus on football and basketball (selected as the most valuable player in basketball) while attending Pennsville Memorial High School (PMHS). I have to say coming from Deepwater Richie had to prove to his football teammates that he had what it took to be the best quarterback PMHS had to offer. Richie was very proud of the fact that he was from Deepwater. The saying was that we were “Deepwater Strong.” Richie led the 1960 PMHS football team as their quarterback to greatness in being the first PMHS undefeated football team. The team was noted as being Group II Tri-County and South Jersey football Champions. In later life we were still in touch with each other and always talked about the good old days. My good friend Richie may you rest in peace.

Richie will be well remembered. My grandparents thought the world of you two and I was just a kid in awe. Hold tightly to one another and cherish all your wonderful memories. Thinking of you.
