Obituary of Barbara Jean Marconi-Blair

Barbara Jean Marconi-Blair passed away on May 29th, 2017 at Chester County Hospital following a long illness. A former resident of Wilmington, DE, Barbara is survived by her daughters Paola Erol of Chester, PA and Annalisa Marconi of Wilmington, DE. Barbara was born in Hempstead, New York to the late Frederick J. Blair Jr. and Mabel A. Durham Blair. Barbara grew up in Pennsville, New Jersey; the eldest of four children. She is survived by her brothers, Frederick J. Blair III of St. Louis, MO and Paul D. Blair of Lewes, DE. She is also survived by her sister Judith Allocco (Charles) of Wilmington, DE. She will be missed by a number of loving and caring nieces, nephews, their children, extended family, and close friends as well. Barbara was a skilled and compassionate registered nurse throughout the Tri-state area for over 40 years. Her compassion and caring went well beyond her nursing career extending to people and animals in need. She always looked forward to spending time with family and friends, especially family events. Barbara was an avid reader and a collector of books. Barbara had a beautiful singing voice and was a former member of the All Eastern Chorus. Friends and family may call on Sunday, June 4th, 2017 at the McCreary & Harra Funeral Home, 3710 Kirkwood Hwy., Wilmington, DE 19808. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM followed by a service at 2:00 PM. Burial will be on Monday, June 5th, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Silverbrook Cemetery, 3300 Lancaster Pike, Wilmington, DE, 19805.
