Robert W. Sayers, Sr. age 84 of Pennsville died Wednesday March 22, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Penns Grove, and was the son of the late Charles and Anna Raine Sayers. Robert was a lifelong Salem County resident.
He was employed as an accountant for the DuPont Chambers Works, Deepwater where he retired following 42 years service.
Survived by his two sons, Robert W. Sayers, Jr. of Arroyo Grande, CA and Richard A. Sayers of Pennsville, 9 grandchildren, Angie, Corey, and Christopher Sayers, Ryan Loughlin, Brian Sayers Samantha Sayers, Brianne Loughlin, Kirstin Cermele, and Robin Bishop, 3 great grandchildren, Jordan and Avery Sayers and Marshall Krueger.
Predeceased by his wife Audrey Ellen Mayhew Sayers, sons, Roger W. Sayers and Ronald L. Sayers, 5 brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday March 28, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 am prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
