Obituary of Jeffrey L. Hewitt, Sr.

Jeffrey Lee Hewitt Sr., age 69 born on Sept. 19, 1947 to Harold L Hewitt and Helen Lastinger Keen lost a long battle involving several health complications on December 15, 2016. Jeff was an avid and passionate car collector, a proud loving pet owner to his three dogs, and a compassionate father and grandfather to many. Jeff was also a very proud US Army Vietnam Veteran. He is survived by his son Shawn P. Hewitt, wife Donna (Forte) Hewitt, grandchildren, Alyse, Gavin, daughter–in-law Regina Hewitt, and her children, Katherine and Julia Hewitt. He is also survived by loving companion and longtime life partner, Rosina M Carletto, who he cared greatly for along with her daughters Denise McCarthy (Pat) and Sharon Kates. He cared dearly for Rose's grandchildren Erin & Neil McCarthy and Laura & Steffan Mead. He was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey L Hewitt Jr., his brothers Butch, John, Michael, and by his parents Harold L Hewitt and Helen Lastinger Keen. Visitation will be held for all Monday, December 19th from 7-9 pm and Tuesday December 20th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Laughrey Funeral Home in Pennsville NJ. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 20th at 11 am also at Laughrey Funeral Home with burial to immediately follow at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery, 719 Route 45, Pilesgrove, NJ 08098.
