Obituary of Catherine I. Moody

Catherine (Cat) Zaluske Moody, age 85 of Pennsville passed away peacefully, at her home on Sunday September 25, 2016 with her daughter/caregiver Tomi Lynn by her side. Cat was born December 23, 1930 to the late Walter and Bessie (Webber) Zaluske. Cat worked at Gayner Glass Company in Salem until they closed. Then she worked at Anchor Hocking Glass for a short time. She left work to raise her two daughters. Later she worked at the Pennsville VFW. Cat loved living by the Delaware River, body building at Jersey Fitness, horses, and her pet crow Hobo, who she taught to say a few words. She loved the Indian pow wows, and also Whale watching. In her early years, she drove a Harley Davidson motorcycle. With her parents, she is predeceased in death by her husband, Thomas L. Moody, brothers, William (Bill) and Cyrus Zaluske. She is survived by her daughters, Jeannie and Tomi Lynn Moody of Pennsville and her grandsons, Daniel Swank, Sean Mulherin, and Thomas J. Moody. Brothers, Frank James Zaluske (Helen) Sisters, Helen Pfeifenroth and Twins Bessie Pruitt and Mary Rinnier who she considered her own girls. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Friday September 30, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call Thursday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM.
