Obituary of Ella Lee Scofield

Ella Lee (Cooksey) Scofield, age 94 of Pennsville went to join the other angels Tuesday September 13, 2016 at the Season Hospice, Newark, DE. She was born in St. Marys, WV and was the daughter of the late James Littleton. Sr. and Lucy Marguerite. Carroll Cooksey. Ella was a longtime Pennsville resident. Survived by her sons, Howard Scofield and his wife Barbara, Ross Scofield and his wife Diane, Jonathan Scofield and his wife Giselle, daughter Lucy Black and her husband, Jeffrey, brothers, William C. Cooksey, of Pennsville and Charles E. Cooksey of Wilmington, DE, sister, Mary Ann (Cooksey) Locke of St. Mary's WV, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren in addition to a plethora of adoring nieces and nephews and friends. Predeceased by her husband Ross E. Scofield, son Steven Scofield, brothes, James L. Cooksey, Jr. and Herbert B. Cooksey and a sisters, Jane C. Driscoll and Lucy M. Cooksey and 4 grandchildren. She was very active in the community delivering Meals on Wheels and volunteering many hours of service to St. Georges Church as women's treasurer. Ella was a member of St. Georges Episcopal Church, Daughters of America and Order of the Eastern Star. She worked for Dr. Fullerton's office for many years and Kurland's Pharmacy. She touched many hearts and will be missed by everyone who met her.
