Obituary of Elizabeth Anne McMann

Elizabeth A. McMann (Brown), age 74 of Pennsville passed away Tuesday Sept. 6th, 2016. Elizabeth, known to her friends as Betty, was born in Somers Point, New Jersey to Anna Brown (Conway) and Edward E. Brown on May 22nd, 1942. She attended Ocean City High School and graduated in 1960. In 1962 she married Joseph E. McMann and moved to Pennsville, NJ where they raised their family until retiring in 1992 and moved to Millsboro DE. Just recently Elizabeth returned to Pennsville and has been a resident in the Pennsville Towers. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter Patricia Denelsbeck (McMann) and her husband Dave of Pennsville, her son Joseph E. McMann of DE, a brother Edward Brown of Ocala, FL, and her cousin Bob Dougherty and his wife Edie of Hazlet, NJ. Elizabeth is also survived by her grandchildren, Devon & David Denelsbeck of Pennsville, NJ, Kristen McMann of Fairfield, PA, Christin Mulligan of Carneys Point, NJ & Chrystina Lewis of Pennsville, NJ Elizabeth is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Joseph McMann. Elizabeth & her husband enjoyed camping, travelling to Maine and strolls on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk. She was a dedicated wife, mother, & grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandkids & socializing with friends. Her hobbies were shopping, decorating her home, & watching HGTV. A celebration of Elizabeth's life for friends and family will be held at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 75 S. Broadway, Pennsville, NJ 08070 at 2:00 PM on Sunday, Sept. 11th. Friends may call from 1:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service. Burial of cremains will follow at the St. Mary's Cemetery, Salem, NJ. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
