Obituary of Edward H. Land

Edward H. Land, age 81 of Newark, DE and a former longtime resident of Pennsville, NJ died Monday March 21, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Salem, NJ and was the son of the late Edward G. and Mary H. Long Land. He owned and operated Lands Sheetmetal Works on Hook Rd. in Pennsville for over 25 years. Survived by his daughters, Connie J. Breeding and her husband Rick of Newark, DE, Della E. Zane and her husband Kevin of Deepwater, Donna L. Truszkowski of Wilmington, DE, Brother, Stephen Land and his wife Linda of Edgewater, FL, grandchildren, Jill Spear, Angela McCarthy, Joshua Zane, and Conor Truszkowski, 2 great grandchildren and his companion, Sheila Fretz. Predeceased by his wife, Barbara A. Dantine Land (1996), brother, John Robert Land, sister, Sandra Stratton. Member of the Deepwater Boys Club, member of the former Salem Country Club, former member of the Pennsville Rotary Club where he served as president (1985-1986) played for the yellow hornets in the Pennsville Recretaion Dept softball league. His hobbies included, fishing, bowling, traveling and was an avid golfer. . Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday March 24, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service.
