Terrance Jay Hopely, age 57 of Pennsville died Monday February 29, 2016. Terry was born in Philadelphia and was the son of the late Thomas and Barbara Radcilffe Hopely. He was a 1977 graduate of Willingboro High School where he met his wife, Susan Haviland Hopely. Terry was a craftsman of many trades, specifically welding, which he modeled unparalleled at Hope Creek Nuclear Power Plant for 31 years. A member of the Salem Boat Club, he was an avid boater and lover of the water, often travelling the C&D canal and OBX with family - a true man of the summer sun. He was also a grill master, skilled builder, long-time mover of his children and their many belongings, and all-around favor doer. His family and friends and neighbors knew Terry to do anything for anyone at any time. Terry is survived by his wife of 35 years, Susan, daughters Chrissy (& Rich), Jacqui (& Tom), son Terry (& Ceridwen), grandchildren Tesla and Bradley, his brothers Randy (& Meg), Tim (& Dot), Tom (& Cindy), sister Tracy (& Dawn), mother-in-law Lois, sister-in-law Beth (& Rob) and brothers-in-law Eric and David (& Tracy). A viewing will be held Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (afsp.org)
