Please share a memory of Sharon to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sharon K Waddington (Land), a lifelong resident of Pennsville, passed away peacefully at her home on January 9, 2016. Born in 1946 to John and Myra Land, Sharon graduated from Pennsville Memorial High School in 1964, and then went on to pursue a teaching degree at Glassboro State College. Along the way, she met and married Gilbert "Skip" Waddington which put her career goals on hold. After raising 2 boys, Michael and Stephen Waddington, she continued her education, and taught in the Pennsville School district from 1979 until her retirement in 2006. Sharon loved socializing with her family and friends, collecting antiques, and spending time with her husband of 49 years at their beautiful home on the Delaware River. Sharon was also an avid fan of thoroughbred horse racing, and would spend many summer days at Delaware Park and many other racetracks around the country. Sharon is survived by her husband of 49 years, Gilbert "Skip" Waddington, sons Michael (Susan) and Stephen (Maribeth), Sister Helen Gibbon, Brother-in-Law Guy Waddington (Dawn), seven grandchildren, and lifelong friend Vicki Tilley. Services will be privately held with her family. Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society or the SPCA.
