Obituary of John J. Wilson, Sr.

John J. Wilson, Sr., age 79 of Salem Drive, Pennsville, NJ, Passed away on December 25, 2015 after a long and brave battle with complications from a stroke in 2014. Husband of the late Joanne Wilson, born in Phila, PA, son of the late Robert E. Wilson and Anna Hill Wilson and brother, Robert Wilson he lived most of his life in Pennsville, NJ. John retired from Dupont in 1992 after 30+ years of service as a supervisor in the pipefitting sketch dept. He served in the Air Force, Realtor for Rogers Brothers, and was a long time member of the Salem County Sportsman Club. He also loved to hunt, fish, woodworking as a passion, and went nowhere without Maggie his Pomeranian side-kick. He is survived by his daughter Diane DiMarzio and her husband Mike, son John J Wilson Jr. and daughter Sharon Hobbs, 5 Grandchildren, Kevin, Sean, Eric, Richie and Rachel, and 2 Great-Grandchildren Gavin and Liam, whom he always loved dearly. He is also survived by his sister, Marie Dolbow. John was a special one of kind quite person and will be missed by many but never forgotten. Funeral services will be held Saturday Jan. 2nd at 11:00 AM at the Laughrey Funeral Home, One North Broadway, Pennsville, NJ 08070 where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
