Obituary of Jeanette M. Huffnagle

Jeanette Margaret Huffnagle, long-time Willingboro resident, passed away peacefully wrapped in the arms of our Lord, on Monday, February 14, 2011 at her daughter's home in Pennsville, NJ. Jeanette was born August 28, 1927 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Jacob and Sarah Smith. She graduated from William Penn High School in Philadelphia in 1944. She married George W. Huffnagle in 1952 and moved to Willingboro, NJ in 1960. Jeanette worked as a retail sales associate first in Pomeroy's and then in Boscov's in the Willingboro Plaza. In addition to her parents, Jeanette was pre-deceased by her sister Charlotte Somers and her brother Henry Smith. Left to cherish her memory is her daughters and sons-in-law: Deborah and Charles Kurtz of Pennsville, Wendy and Lester Harris of Willingboro, and Carol and David Crist of Medford. Also, the true "loves of her life", her grandchildren: Jeffrey (Erika) Kurtz of Philadelphia, Derek (Erica) Kurtz of Asheville, NC, George Haight of Medford, Allyson and Lindsay Bodine of Medford, and Sarah and Samantha Crist of Medford. Jeanette will be greatly missed by her many dear friends and neighbors on Patriot Lane, especially Phyllis and Bob Davis and Jane and Joe McGraw. Also her special friend Peggy Schinn of Cinnaminson, JoAnne Metcalf of Willingboro, Dino Provenzano of Gillians Hair Designs, Ed Binnig of Ed's Garden Service, the staff at East Park Pharmacy, the Willingboro Acme, the Willingboro Public Library and many others. A memorial service to honor and celebrate Jeanette's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Saint Luke's Lutheran Church in Willingboro. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Jeanette's name to Memorial Home Health and Hospice, 390 North Broadway, Pennsville, NJ 08070. We love you, Mom, and will forever miss you. And the LORD said, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."
