Obituary of Robert L. Lawrence, Sr.

Robert L. Lawrence, Sr., age 89 of Carney's Point, was called home to be with Jesus, on November 3, 2015. He was born in Somers Point, NJ, the son of the late Frank and Margaret Lawrence. He worked for Atlantic City Electric as a training supervisor for many years. After coming to know the Lord, he was a dedicated member of the his local Assemblies of God both in Carney's Point and Salem and enjoyed being a part of the men's ministry. He made it a point to share the good news of the Gospel to any who would hear. To relax, he enjoyed watching baseball or tinkering in his garage whether it was something for the home or just building a birdhouse. His hands were always busy with a new project. Bob was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will truly be missed. Survived by his wife Doris E. Lawrence of 3 years of Carney's Point, his daughter-in-law Barbara J. Lawrence, and grandson Dr. John R. Lawrence, M.D., both of Pennsville, NJ., in addition to many other extended family. He joins his late wife Sara E. Lawrence of Carney's Point, NJ, and his brothers Frank Lawrence and Russell Lawrence, both of Pennsville, NJ in heaven. A viewing will be held on Friday November 6, 2015 at 10:00-11:00AM followed by a funeral service at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends and family may call. Burial will be private.
