Obituary of Martha L Bullock

Martha was the oldest of four born to the late William and Rita Person. Martha was a loving daughter, mother, sister, and friend. Martha was born and raised in Philadelphia PA. Where she graduated in 1956 from Simon Gratz High School. Following High School, Martha went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. She had a passion to help those in need. She worked as a nurse for 40 years, loving every minute of it. Upon retirement Martha came to live with her daughter in Pennsville. Martha passed away peacefully in her sleep at Southgate Nursing Home. She thought of the staff as family. She was so grateful to have such wonderful CNAs and Nurses care for her. Martha had four siblings; William Person, Brenda Floyd and Wesley Person (predeceased). She leaves behind her daughter, Lisa DeLorenzo (nee Bullock) who was the true love of her life. Daughter in law Linda Delorenzo(Lisa), her best friend Angeletta Bullock, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. I am not there; I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush I am the swift uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night.
