Obituary of Mary Lois Thompson

Mary Lois Thompson, 87 of Pennsville Formerly from Inverness, FL. Born in Woodstown May 13, 1928 Daughter of the late Norman and Gladys Cheeseman. She went home to be with her husband Charlie on October 2, 2015. Mother of Sandra Hemple and son-in-law Daniel (Buzz) with whom she lived in Pennsville. Mother of sons Thomas (Theresa) and Robert (Dawn) Thompson of Pennsville. They were all caregivers to their mother. Also son Charles (Debbie) of Clearwater, FL. She is also survived by 10 granddaughters, 13 great grandchildren, several step grandchildren and great grandchildren, 3 sisters Dorothy Stewart (Ray), Elaine Lerch (Walt), Shirley Coles (Eddie) and sister-in-Law Isabel Cheeseman all of Salem County and sister in Law Louise Cheeseman of Inverness FL, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 3 brothers Edward, Robert, and Carl Cheeseman and a great grandson Mckail Pickens. She worked many jobs and was a caregiver for family and friends and her last job was working at Snelbakers Home in Woodstown before moving to Florida. She loved Ft. Cooper and playing shuffleboard, reading, and playing cards. She had many friends in FL and she was a member of Floral City United Methodist Church. A Memorial service will be held on Thursday October 15th at 8:30PM where friends and family may call between 6:30 and 8:30pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Sharptown United Methodist Church at 24 Church St. Pilesgrove, NJ 08098. Burial will take place at the Veterans Cemetery, Pilesgrove, at a later date. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
