Obituary of Mae L. Billings

Mae L. Billings, age 92, of Pennsville died Friday October 2, 2015 at the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. Born in Old Forge, PA and raised there she was the daughter of George and Malinda James. Mae has resided in Pennsville for 26 years. Mae was employed as a real estate agent by Long and Foster Realtors in Gaithersburg, MD, where she retired in 1989. During her residence in Pennsville she was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the President of the XYZ Club, and participated in several panels and groups focused on improving living conditions for senior citizens in the Salem County area. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Walter B. Billings, her daughter Linda Billings, her son James W. Billings and her great-granddaughter Malissa L. Lee. Mae is survived by her two daughters, Diana L. Roberts of Dallastown, PA and Denise L. White and her husband Andy of Pennsville, her brother Fred James of Old Forge, PA, and sisters Pat Guzzy and Evelyn Marsh of Avoca, PA. In addition, she is also survived by five grandchildren and their families; Tracey Roberts, Curtis Roberts (Gina), Keith Roberts (Beth), Kimberlee Kalichak (Stephen) and Justin Rizzo (Jennifer), nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Laughrey Funeral Home. Friends may call on Tuesday morning from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and are invited to join in a celebration of her life at noon. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation in the memory of Mae to the Pennsville Visiting Nurses Association, 14 N. Broadway, Pennsville, NJ 08070.
