Obituary of Cheryl D. Mason

Cheryl D. Mason, age 63 of Pennsville went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at the Christiana Care Hospital, Newark, DE. She was born in Woodbury grew up in Pedricktown and lived most of her life in Pennsville. Cheryl was the daughter of the late Russell Drabold, Jr. and Muriel Horner Drabold. She was employed as a school teacher for the Penns Grove Middle School for the past 35 years as a mathematics teacher and retired in June of this year following 41 years . She was a 1970 graduate of Penns Grove High School, 1972 graduate of Wesley College, and a 1974 graduate of Glassboro State College. She started her teaching career in 1974 following her graduation. Survived by her loving husband, Thomas L. Mason, son, Kevin Wayne Murphy and his wife Heather of Newark, DE, brother, Russell Drabold III, and his wife Debbie of Tabernaccle, NJ, sister, April Schwamb and her husband James of Evans, GA, grandchildren, Molly Ashley Murphy and Madison Elizabeth Murphy, nephews, Brian & Derek Schwamb of GA, Erich Drabold of NJ and a niece, Lauren McAfee of NJ. Cheryl was an active member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Pennsville, Oakwood Summer Theater, and the Penns Grove High School Red Devil Players. Funeral services will be held 11:00 Monday Sept. 21 at the Trinity United Methodist Church Pennsville where friends may call Sunday afternoon 2:00 to 4:00 PM and Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior the service.
