Obituary of Bruce K. Beveridge

Bruce Beveridge, 50, of Northeast, MD, formally of Pennsville, NJ died peacefully at Johns Hopkins Hospital on Saturday May 16, 2015 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Son of Irving Beveridge and the late Janet (nee Farris) Beveridge, Bruce was a graduate of Pennsville Memorial High School. He was employed with Amtrak, Bear DE for over 25 years. A genuine and good hearted person, Bruce was everyone's friend. You could not have found a calmer and easy going person. His infectious grin and ornery nature will always be remembered. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved the location of his home overlooking the water. He was great with his hands and if you ever needed anything fixed, Bruce could fix it. But above all in this world, he loved nothing more than his 'best bud" and son, Kevin. Bruce was an incredible and hands on dad who loved spending time with Kevin especially outdoors and fishing. Bruce is also survived by his brother, Ron Beveridge and wife Laura, sister, Stacie Beals, her husband Mel, and their children Jordan, Logan, and Dalton, aunt Barbara Nixon, and many cousins and great cousins. He will be deeply missed. Family and friends are invited to the VFW 171 S. Broadway Pennsville, NJ on Wednesday evening starting at 7pm to celebrate his life with fond memories.
