Alexander (Tommy) Hill III, age 77 of 70 Union Street, Pennsville died Sunday April 19th at the Christiana Hospital in Newark Delaware. Born in Woodbury to the late Alexander Hill and Martha Jane Leauallen Hill. Alex was a lifelong Salem County resident and a 1954 graduate of Salem High School. After graduation, Alex was a truck driver for all of his adult life until retiring and becoming a bus driver. He was well known for being the Pennsville Dog Catcher. He loved to fish with his grandson Quintin, drive around Pennsville, and have coffee with his friends every morning. Survived by his children; Daphne M Hill of Vineland, Alexander Hill IV of Carney's Point and Audra Mahoney of Pennsville, sister: Betty Finlayson of Dale City, Virginia. Grandchildren; Jennifer Hill of Pennsville and Quintin Weigle of Pennsville. Great grandchildren; Keagan Kaminski and Cambrie Dancer. He was predeceased by his wife; Elaine Keen Hill in 2006. Friends and family may gather Thursday April 23, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville, NJ and services will be held Friday April 24 at 11am. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
