Shirley P. Potter (nee Magsam) 93, of Elsinboro, N.J., passed away peacefully on March 13, 2015 with her family by her side. Born In Salem, N.J., she is the daughter of the late Helen "Mawsey" (Press) Magsam and Lou Magsam. She is predeceased by her husband, Carl Potter, her son, Gary Potter, her daughter Jean Sollars, and her brothers, Howard Magsam and Russell Magsam. She is survived by her son TomWay and wife Pat of Bridgeton, N.J., her daughter Shirley Ann and husband John of Millville, N.J., her son Donald and wife Vivian of Gladwin, M.I. In addition, Shirley is survived by 17 grandchildren, 57 great grandchildren, and 29 great-great grandchildren, her sisters Audrey Williams and Doris Morin, and her brother Lou Magsam. She worked for many years at Anchor Glass in Salem, N.J. where she met the love of her life and her husband of 50 years. She was an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church. Shirley was also a lifetime member of the Salem County Sportsmen's Club. She enjoyed attending the Senior Care Center of Salem where she was named prom queen. She also adored being with her friends Betty and Jeanie going out to eat with them. Shirley had many great passions for camping, road trips, and eating wild game. She enjoyed her garden where she grew her famous Jersey tomatoes that she loved so much. She was well loved by her family and she will be greatly missed. Rite of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM on Friday March 20, at the St. John's Episcopal Church, Salem where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Church Cemetery.
