Virgie Chafin, age 92 of Pennsville died Thursday March 5, 2015 at her residence. Born May 14, 1922 in Smokey Mountain, TN to the late Henry and Effie Cooper. She was a long time Pennsville resident.
She formerly worked at the Acme Grocery Store in Pennsville for 27 years and retired in 1977.
Survived by Nephew Loren Cooper and his wife Sarah with whom she lived. Nephews Randal, Paul, and Billy Cooper, and Don Chafin. Neices Brenda, Phillis, Sue, and Julia Cooper, Marlene Brubaker, and Debbie Zimmerman.
Predeceased by husband Loren Chafin, brothers John and Charles Cooper, and sister Cory Cooper.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday Mar. 10th, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 10 to 11:00 AM. Burial will be at the Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro, NJ. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
