Julia Mahoney, age 84 of Pennsville, NJ formerly Shavertown, PA went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday January 29, 2015 at the Memorial Hospital of Salem County. She was born in Camden, NJ and was the daughter of the late Joseph D. and Marie C. Hopkins Mahoney.
She was a Nun and a member of the Religious Sisters of Mercy from 1954 to 1986 and a member of the Queen of the Apostles Roman Catholic Church, Pennsville.
Survived by her sister, Margaret M. Hilyard of Pennsville, nieces, Peggy MacArthur (Richard), Diana Campbell (Soupy), and Mary Adams.
Predeceased by a sister, Cecelia J. Mahoney.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday February 5, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at a later date. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
