Frances Mae Samuels, age 91 of Pennsville died on Friday January 28, 2011 at the Memorial Hospital of Salem County. She was born in Wilmington, DE and was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Rachael Clegg Ludlam. Frances was a lifelong Pennsville resident. Survived by her children, Shirley Townsend (Emory) of Penns Grove, Ausby "Ozzie" Samuels, Jr., Eugene "Hughie", Samuels, Ronald Samuels (Karen), Duane Samuels (Vickie), Bruce Samuels (Anitra) and Raymond Samuels all of Pennsville, 24 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband of 70 years Ausby W. Samuels, Sr. (2008), daughter, Janet Eller (1994) sisters, Essie Burden, and Betty Fithian Lindsay, grandson, Rodney W. Fisher (1993), daughter-in-law, Bonnie Samuels (2005), great granddaughter Cheryl Lynn Cline (1978) Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Wed. Feb. 2, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the St. Georges Cemetery, Pennsville.
