Velma Rose (Stuart) Newsome, 81, of Pennsville went home to be with her Lord on January 6, 2015. She died peacefully at home surrounded by her family and friends following prolonged illnesses. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, William H. Newsome, Jr., her daughter, Brenda Newsome, her son, Ron Newsome and granddaughter Emily Eve. The family enjoyed camping for many years with Cherrystone and the Jersey shore being favorite destinations. Following their retirements from DuPont in 1990 she and Bill traveled the US extensively in their RV and spent most summers at the Jersey shore. Burial will be private Memorial gifts may be made to Inspira Hospice of Vineland, NJ or the American Diabetes, Heart or Lung Associations. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
