Obituary of Donald Fowser

Donald Fowser, age 85 of Pennsville died Sunday January 4, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Salem and was the son of the late Elmer P. Sr. and Florence Peterson Fowser. Donald was a lifelong Pennsville resident. He was a self-employed building contractor and served as a state of New Jersey Building inspector retiring in 1991. A member of Pennsville Republican Club serviving on the Salem County Mosquito Commission, Pennsville maintenance Department and the Pennsville Sewerage Authority for. He was also a member of the Salem County Sportmans Club and life member of the Cape May VFW Post 386. In his early years he was a participant in the Quinton Antlers Club. He served his country as a proud Marine during the Korean War. Survived by his wife of 57 years Anne M. Gallagher Fowser, daughter, Christine Hassler and her husband William, grandchildren, Wills and Abigail. Predeceased by his brothers, Eric and Elmer Fowser. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday January 7, at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 prior the service.
