Carl F. "Butch" LaMont, Jr. age 75 of Pennsville died Sunday December 7, 2014 at the Memorial Hospital of Salem County. He was born in Salem and was the son of the late Frances LaMont Smith. Butch was a lifelong Pennsville resident. He was employed as a surveyor for the Operating Engineers Local 825 and retired in 1999 following 30 years service. Butch was a social member of the Pennsville VFW Post 1952. He enjoyed traveling, riding his bike, taking cruises and trips to the beach with his family. He was a 1957 graduate of Salem High School Survived by his wife of 50 Years, Sandy O'Donald LaMont, children, Daniel C. LaMont of Pennsville, Tracey L. Decker and her husband Joe of Mullica Hill, Nicole D. Kimani and her husband Joseph of Pennsville, sister, Carla Newsome of Salisbury, MD, grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Meghan, Zachary, Jordan and Jacob. Friends may call Thursday morning from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville. Burial will follow at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association, 1 Union St #301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691.
