Obituary of Thomas W. Ebersole, Sr.

Thomas William Ebersole Sr., 81 of Pennsville New Jersey, passed away. September 28th 2014 in the comfort of his residence. He was born in Salem, New Jersey to the parents of George and Lenora Ebersole Thomas W Ebersole Sr., known for his Tri-County skating abilities was a father, grandfather, and friend to so many people that he had the pleasure of living and working with. He set up his own painting business in Pennsylvania as a contractor and ventured back to settle in Pennsville where he built a very successful amount of clientele and repeat customers. He led a very active lifestyle, in which, roller skating was his pastime. He entertained his audience with his fancy dance moves in the various parades that Salem, Woodstown, just to name a few towns which were held during most holidays. A lot of spectators would comment and wonder how he could have so much energy. The audiences enjoyed seeing him and his partner as they strolled down the avenues of the local towns. Putting a smile on those spectator's faces was a joy for him and the costumes that he wore. That active lifestyle let him live a life that showed the true meaning of "you are as young as you feel". Of course, that doesn't last forever. We never know when our day will be, so live life to its fullest one day at a time. He is now with his maker and is pain-free and looking down on us. He was survived by three children, Gary S. Ebersole, Joni Ritter, and Thomas W. Ebersole Jr, 10 grandchildren Matthew Ritter, Adam Ritter, Mike Ritter, Daniel Ritter, Alisha Watts, Donald Watts, Katy Lemmen, Jessica Lynn Ebersole, Thomas S. Ebersole, Blake Czukiewski and 5 great grand-children Carson, Wyatt, Angel, Abbey, and Amelia. R.I.P. Thomas W Ebersole Sr., the legendary skater of Tri-County. Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside Christian celebration 11:00 AM Thursday October 2, at the First Baptist Cemetery, York St., Salem, NJ.
