Linwood Russell Pierson, age 75 of Pennsville went home to be with the Lord on Saturday September 20, 2014 at the Christiana Hospital, Newark, DE. Russ was born in Salem and was the son of the late Linwood Pierson and Helen Samper Pierson. He was a longtime Pennsville resident.
He was employed as a chemical operator for the DuPont Chambers Works where he retired in 1996 following 27 years service. Russ was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Pennsville and a Vietnam Army Veteran. Russ loved traveling and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Survived by his wife of 55 years, Vera Maier Pierson, daughter, Martina N. Pierson of Carneys Point, 3 brothers, James, Edward and Patrick Jamison of Alloway.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday September 25, at the Trinity United Methodist Church, Pennsville where friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown.
