Martha B. Long, "Tootie", age 94 of Pennsville ascended to Heaven to join with her husband, Charles "Bear" Long on Monday July 28, 2014 surrounded by her loving family at the Memorial Hospital of Salem County. She was born in Delano, PA and was the daughter of the late William L. and Franey Smith Rhoads. Tootie was a longtime Pennsville resident. She worked for numerous sewing factories in the area for many years. She was a longtime member of the St. Ambrose Lutheran Church, Pennsville. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, playing cards, computer and TV. She will be greatly missed. She may be scanning the heavens for "Double Deck Pinochle Player" a favorite game of hers Survived by her children, Barbara (Norris) Puckett and her husband Tom and John Norris and his wife Margie of Pennsville, 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild. A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM on Friday August 1 at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville where friends may call from 9:00 to 10:00 AM prior to the service. Burial of cremains will follow at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown.
