Stanley Martin Powell, age 94 of Pennsville died Saturday July 26, 2014 at the Friends Village at Woodstown. He was born in Pittston, PA and was the son of the late John and Annasta Belcoski Powell. Stanley was a longtime Pennsville resident.
He was employed as a lab technician/supervisor at the Atlantic City Electric, Deepwater Operating Station where he retired in1982 following 35 years service. He was a Third Degree member of the Father Cannon Council 2607 of the Knights of Columbus and a longtime member of the Queen of the Apostles Church of the St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish.
Stanley is survived by his loving son Ronald M. Powell and his wife Linda of Pennsville, grandsons, Christopher M. Powell and his wife Justina of Fords, NJ, and Jason E. Powell and his wife Kristin of Mount Royal, NJ, great grandchildren Ayden and Evan Powell.
Predeceased by his wife, Alice M. O'Connor Powell (1995).
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM on Wednesday July 30, at the Queen of the Apostles RC Church. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville. Burial will be at the Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown. www.laughreyfuneralhome.com
