Margaret F. "Andy" Mahala, age 85 of Pennsville died Sunday June 29, 2014 at the Memorial Hospital of Salem County. She was born in Salem and was the daughter of the late Harley and Margaret Ryan Rader. Margaret was a longtime Pennsville resident. She went to work as a young girl and worked at the former Gayners Glass in Salem and worked there until the business closed and then went to work at Decora in Elmer where she retired. Member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Pennsville VFW Post 1952. Survived by her children, Theodore J. Mahala, (Magaly) of FL, daughters Cheryl A. Owens, (Charles) Carol L. Evans (Ezra) of Pennsville and sister, Catherine Davis, grandchildren, 4 grandchildren, Rochelle Kuehn (Carl) of DE, Tina Anderson (Ken) of TX, Ezra and Eric Evans of Pennsville, 4 great grandchildren, Ian Anderson, Savannah Kuehn, Madison Anderson, and Noelle Kuehn. She loved Saturday nights at the Pennsville Towers "The Gathering" and Bar Bingo. She enjoyed shopping and going out to eat with family and friends. She loved all her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband of 53 yearsTheodore "Ted" Mahala (1999), seven siblings brothers, Charles "Simmy" Rader, Harley Rader, Dallas Rader, sisters, Edna Rader, Glendorus Fithian, and Elizabeth DeMatteo, great granddauthter, Avianna H. Evans. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday July 7, 2014 at the Laughrey Funeral Home, Pennsville, where friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Salem County Veterans Cemetery, Pilesgrove.
